Description

This is Clef Records MG C-161, Billie Holiday, a black, deep groove, trumpet label original mono issue of this wonderful record. The record is VG condition showing marks on both sides. The record plays with background crackle but no skips and one small spot where there is some distortion (about 5 seconds). The cover with the marvelous David Stone Martin drawing shows light shelf and edge wear but is intact. The labels are excellent. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode. This is an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this rare original recording with a better cover.
