Description

Billie Holiday

"Recital By" LP

This is an original copy of Billie Holiday's 1956 album, 'Recital By Billie Holiday,' released on Clef Records (MG C-686). It was later re-released by Verve, but this is the original Clef Records version with the silver-on-black "Long Playing Microgroove" Clef label. The remarkably bright and clean cover features a drawing of Billie by David Stone Martin. Music was supervised by Norman Grantz.
