“Billie Holiday Sings” with Lester Young & Buck Clayton 10” LP 1950 deep groove first pressing Columbia Records (# CL 6129 mono) in a 10” cardboard sleeve.The record grading is Very Good (VG). As with many 75 year old 10” LPs it has audible soft crackle & pop, yet the music plays through quite nicely. Fully play tested - on Side 1/track 1 there’s a sound I can only describe as a light “screech” which only occurs for a few seconds - probably a defect in the groove - yet, it does not affect the listening experience due to its brevity. On Side 2/track 2 there’s a tick for ~50 seconds in the middle of the song. Overall, much of the album plays VG+ with clear fidelity. Visually the surfaces are clean with some marks & light smudges.
