Our GRADING for bigbillkorst2 is E+ (or NM) E, E-, V+, V, V- and Poor. Packing We ship these shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 4" box. We have had few problems with damage on the records we have shipped so far.
78RPM Columbia 37496 Billie Holiday - Summertime / Billie's Blues, VG+ to VG to VG+. This c1947 record, I played parts of both sides, s7 has swishing at the start (25 secs) then becomes clean average VV+. The s8 has the swish and some static V-VV- during the start, not quite as nice a VV+V with background noise after the start. Visibly this is V+VV+ a medium condition, it has some minor lams at starts (more lams on s8--could be the static cause). This also has an edge chipping that does not reach the grooves, see the photos above. The labels have mild wear. Will be in the sleeve it has been stored in for decades.
