Billy Eckstine "Had You Been Around/Down To Earth" Tamla Motown TMG 533

History tells it that Berry Gordy was keen to get Motown into the MOR/Easy Listening market and signing Billy Eckstine was a huge coup for the label. This single was released in the UK as one of the initial 500 series of Tamla Motown singles in October 1965.

As it’s not strictly a soul recording it didn’t sell particularly well and is now one the harder 500 series singles to find, one for the Motown completists.

This copy grades a strong VG+ and will be supplied in new white card sleeve.
