1963 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP


An ultra-rare 1963 1st STEREO pressing of this outstanding 'live' album on the deep-groove, unboxed blue & silver Decca label: SKL.4548.

Housed in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Robert Stace' printed cover complete with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: ZAL-5993-1E & ZAL-5994-1E

Stamper codes: 1/B & 1/B

These earliest possible mother/stamper codes place this copy amongst one of the first few hundred ever pressed.

A clean & bright pair with a small collection of spindle marks, mostly around the side 2 centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean, glossy & unworn playing surfaces with little more than a few harmless stylus hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp but certainly no other signifincant or major marks or wear.

Play: EXCELLENT +

This top-sounding copy has clearly received minimal careful play on excellent equipment as the sound is clean, clean & unworn throughout. My careful play-check found no groovewear distortion, clicks, background or any other such audible distraction or wear.

Cover

VERY GOOD +

A clean & glossy example with light handling & storagewear. The only major blemish is a 3cm tear to the front opening edge. The rear panel is nice and clean with just slight wear to the lower flipback but no significant marks or any writing or missing paper.

Inner-sleeve

EXCELLENT -

Clean & white with a few light storage wrinkles and a small repair to the rear centre hole but no splits or writing anywhere.
