Description
Up for sale is an extremely hard to find 45 rpm vinyl record. The artist, Billy Land, is probably a fictitious name. It is likely that this song was performed by the songwriter, Joe South, who would go on to a great career. These two songs are pretty killer rockabilly.

Joe South (1940 - 2012) was born Joseph Alfred Souter, in Atlanta, Georgia. His earliest record was the 1958 novelty disc: "The Purple People Eater Meets the Witch Doctor". He recorded in both Atlanta and Nashville. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, he wrote a series of highly successful songs, including "Down in the Boondocks", "Games People Play" (awarded 1970 Grammy Award for Best Song); and "Rose Garden" (nominated 1972 Grammy Award).
