Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs-Live! At Sunbury 1972 Australian LP. Fantastic example of rare early 70's Australian heavy progressive rock. This was an Australian release although the vinyl was pressed in New Zealand (as were all Havoc releases) due to the reduced costs.

Lable:Havoc Cat# HST 4003/4. Records are visually Ex. Cover is VG+. There is very light general ,edge and corner wear.  There is a just the hint of ring wear showing particularly at the top front and back. The inner gatefold has some light creasing on the left hand (front) panel most noticeably along the record ring near the spine. No seam splits. (see scans)

Aztecs Live! At Sunbury was a double live album released in August 1972 by Australian hard rock group Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs, which was recorded at the inaugural Sunbury Pop Festival in late January. A separate live album, Sunbury, by various artists, of highlights of the festival had been issued in May, and included some tracks by Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs.

Aztecs Live! At Sunbury included eight tracks from their set. The double LP peaked at number 8 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart in 1972. In mint condition, the original LP release, with pop-up inserts, is much sought after by collectors. A CD version was released in 2007 by Aztec Music, as Live at Sunbury by Billy Thorpe & the Aztecs.

In October 2010, Aztecs Live! At Sunbury (1972) was listed in the book, 100 Best Australian Albums.

While by no means the first of Australia's outdoor rock festivals, Sunbury '72 has assumed the mantle of "Australia's Woodstock". It was held at the end of January, 1972, over the Australia Day long weekend. The venue was a natural amphitheatre site on farmland near Sunbury, a rural town north of Melbourne, Victoria. The Aztecs shared billing with such other prominent acts as Spectrum/Murtceps, The La De Das, Max Merritt & the Meteors, SCRA, Pirana, Greg Quill's Country Radio and many others.

Part of the Aztecs' set was issued on the double-album recording, Sunbury [EMI-HMV SOXLP 7561/2], and it was also captured on the film made of the event. A double-album collecting the Aztecs' full set, Aztecs Live at Sunbury [Havoc HST 4003/4] was issued later in the year.

In early 1972 the Aztecs released what became their biggest hit, and Thorpe's signature tune -- "Most People I Know (Think That I'm Crazy)", a song now widely regarded as one of the classics of Australian rock. It was a huge hit for the new Aztecs, peaking in the Go-Set National Top 40 Singles Chart at number 3 in May 1972; propelled to the top of charts by the band's triumphant appearance at the 1972 Sunbury Music Festival. Thorpe himself claimed this as a pivotal moment in the development of Australian music, thanks to the promoters' decision to feature an all-Australian lineup, rather than relying on imported stars.

M, mint condition, unplayed, with no marks on playing surface and labels as new.
M-, mint minus, either unplayed, with minimum scuffs caused by paper sleeve, or played once or twice only and still as new.
EX, excellent condition, record played carefully, very clean surface, minimum scuffing. 
VG, very good condition, scuffing or signs of groove wear but no bad scratches. Only minor pops or crackles.
G, good condition, well played with plenty of scuffs, light scratches and groove wear.Noise evident but no jumps.
F, fair condition, playable but heavily scuffed or scratched, with a lot of surface noise. Maybe minor jumps from scratches.

M, Mint - As New
Ex, Excellent – Very little ware – no marks or worn corners
VG, Very Good  – some minor wear and some minor marks visible 
G, Good – worn cover, may have creased corners, heavier marks, small tears but still complete
F, Fair – cover is worn and maybe torn.
