Original 1st pressing of this the first LP release by The Chanter Sisters under the name of Birds Of A Feather. The LP has obvious connections to Elton John and Bernie Taupin with 4 of the tracks composed by the pair. There is also an excellent rendition of the Stones' Gimme Shelter. It comes in the original cover and in a generic white paper inner. However, I have given it a light wipe with L'art Du Son to properly see its condition and placed it in a new MFSL anti static inner.
CONDITION - RECORD
Examined under a strong halogen lamp side one has a few light scratches and grades as Very Good. Side two just has a few sleeve withdrawal marks and grades as Ex minus.
When played (Project Debut III turntable) there is just a faint background crackle during silent passages and which cannot be heard while the music is playing. No 'pops', 'clicks', jumps or sticking.
CONDITION - COVER, INNER & LABELS The cover has a lot of wear, most notably a lot of surface scuffing/marking and very worn edges. Just about earns a Good grade
Both labels just have spindle trails.

GRADING GUIDE - IMPORTANT!
I visually examine all records under a strong 35w halogen lamp, which shows up ALL defects.
I strictly grade my records according to Record Collector guidelines, which to me means as follows:
MINT- Must be sealed
NEAR MINT - Totally unmarked, no scratches, not even faint 'hairlines' / sleeve withdrawal marks or any other signs of having been played. Genuine NM records are really not as plentiful as many sellers on eBay would have you believe.
EXCELLENT - No scratches, just signs of having been played, such as the odd faint 'hairline' sleeve withdrawal mark that is barely visible under a strong lamp, or spindle trails on the label.
VERY GOOD - The first mild scratches have begun to appear, but only very, very few.
GOOD - More scratches than Very Good and more severe, but I am confident that the record will play through without skips or sticking and will still provide a good listening experience.
FAIR - The record may not play through properly with a chance of it jumping and / or it will play with significant background noise.
POOR - It definitely won't play without skipping or sticking.
Below Near Mint I will use plus or minus with a grade to highlight fine differences.
COVER GRADES
My cover grades are EXACTLY as stated in Record Collector magazine / RRPG. Therefore, if a cover is defaced, stained or torn it CANNOT grade better than FAIR. Likewise, if any part of the contents are missing it CANNOT grade better than POOR.
All records are dispatched using stiffeners and card mailers.
