description DetailsThe last studio album (2016) by the German progressive / hard rock legend with BERND 'NOSSI' NOSKE. 'Here And Now' is available as a double vinyl edition (180 gram pressing) incl. three live bonus tracks available on LOOK AT ME. In the 1970s, BIRTH CONTROL were undoubtedly one of the most internationally successful progressive / hard rock bands of German origin. Since their spectacular album debut on the cult label Ohr in 1970, the formation, which is still active today, has released more than thirty long players to date, including timeless classics such as 'Operation', 'Hoodoo Man' (with the discotheque hit 'Gamma Ray' on it) ) or 'Plastic People'. Now their studio album 'Here And Now', originally released in 2016, is finally officially available again in stores. Released posthumously in 2016 two years after the sudden death of band mastermind, singer and drummer BERND NOSKE, the formation, which always had a completely independent sound, waited for it with eleven new songs from the compositional pen of their keyboardist SASCHA KÜHN as well as a brilliant mix of progressive / hard rock, blues and funk. The band presented themselves in top form with joy to play, with guitarist MARTIN ETTRICH, keyboardist SASCHA KÜHN and drummer BERND NOSKE convincing with both inspired and virtuoso solo interludes. The eight-minute album opener 'Lost In The Sea' with its band-typical, powerful guitar and organ parts as well as the unmistakable vocals of BERND NOSKE clearly set the musical direction. On the ballad 'Truth Is Mine' you can also hear PETER FÖLLER, the singer of the current BC line-up, who was on the microphone with BIRTH CONTROL between 1973 and 1977.
