Bizet – Carmen, 1960 3-LP stereo Boxed Set, HMV SLS 755 ASD 331-333.
This is a decent example of the stereo 3-LP boxed set of Carmen by Bizet, starring Maria Callas in the title role. It was released on the HMV label in 1960 – SLS 755 (ASD 331-333). There are a couple of small marks on the first side of the first record. I have just played it through and other than a couple of very quiet ticks it sounds fine and it still grades as EX. They are just scuffs, not scratches. The other five sides are all in EX to EX+ condition. Also – PLEASE NOTE that each of the records has acquired a ‘storage warp’ When on the turntable a slight distortion is apparent but this DOES NOT AFFECT PLAY AT ALL. The box still contains the original card packing / spacer sheets and the double-sided sheet that lists the tracks / bands on each of the records. (This has the number P97/460 on the back). The box has some rubbing to the edges and some minor discolouration. None of the corners are split.Home About Us Delivery Payment View Feedback
