Info: Original 1977 pressing / release of Björk's debut album. LIMITED EDITION OF 1000. Only 1000 of these were printed in 1977 in Iceland and very few were sold or kept in tact, this is one of the few remaining mint copies! The songs are a mixture of covers translated into Icelandic, such as The Beatles' "The Fool on The Hill" (Álfur Út Úr Hól), Edgar Winter's "Alta Mira", Melanie Safka's "Christopher Robin" (Bænin) and Stevie Wonder's "Your Kiss Is Sweet" (Búkolla), but it also contains some songs written specifically for the album, like "Arabadrengurinn" (The Arab Boy), written by Bjork's stepfather Sævar, and one instrumental flute-tribute to Icelandic painter Jóhannes Kjarval written & performed by 11-year old Björk herself. Björk was offered the chance to do a second album, but she turned it down. With the money she earned from this record she bought herself a piano and started piecing together her own compositions. This copy comes with the original insert (see photos). Rare and hard to find in any condition, this copy is, by far, in the absolute best condition I have ever seen it in.
