Listed as used but only played twice since 1995, this is an original UK copy of Bjork's second album, Post.
Please note: Although this album has, genuinely, only been played twice, it had manufacturing blemishes on it from brand new, all of which I will list below. The record plays through from start to finish with no skips but there are some audible manufacturing blemishes.
It is an ideal play copy, or if someone is collecting her original pressings, but is on a budget, or if someone is seeking a copy to replace the inner sleeve. It is not, never has been and never will be, a mint copy. I am also an extremely conservative grader of LPs and prefer to be specific about condition rather than give grades which often conceal the things vinyl buyers actually want to know.
Cover: The cover is worn but has no tears or splits. There is edgewear, traces of ringwear and some light creasing/indentations. In a plastic cover these things are not particularly noticeable, but this is entirely subjective, of course. This album did not come wrapped in plastic in 1995; it was sealed with the sticker, which was opened neatly. It is in the condition you might expect for a used, nearly 30(!) years old album but for the last 10 years it has been in storage.
Inner sleeve: As new. This is made with incredibly thin paper and they are often torn. This is untorn and makes this copy ideal for anyone trying to replace this sleeve. Due to the paper thinness, it does have little creases but I have never seen a copy of this album where the sleeve does not have some little creases to it.
Disc: The disc has been played twice. However, it has a lot of manufacturing marks, hairlines, scuff marks and a non-jump scratchy mark on side 1. All of this was from brand new. I used to work in a record shop in the 90s and we had a lot of copies of this album brought back for these reasons. I honestly do not know what was going on in the pressing house but this album was just "one of those" albums. It plays through from start to finish with no skips at all. On the track The Modern Things, there are some clicks (NOT POPS) through a portion of the song. However, this song has some "fake" vinyl sounds anyway , which can be heard on any digital version of the song (lots of 90s albums had these vinyl surface noises for some reason-Possibly Maybe on side 2 has a lot of this fake surface noise). The track It's Oh so Quiet also has clicks through a portion of the song. This is caused by a scratchy mark on the disc, which was there from brand new and was not caused through play. These clicks are audible (obviously); they are not pops on my turntable but are louder than ticks through a portion of the song. There is occasional light surface noise on the disc as all coloured vinyl records have and occasional ticks and clicks. The track, You've been flirting again also has some light little thuds caused by a pressing "raise" in the surface of the disc. Depending on the weight of your cartridge, you may not really notice it but it can be heard sometimes. This is a manufacturing flaw, obviously.
There are no skips on this record.
This is an opportunity for a collector on a budget; you might even get it for 99p. If you are seeking a play copy and don't mind the clicks as mentioned above, this is an ideal copy of something which often sells for much, much more than this copy will. It is not mint and never was, but it is a perfectly respectable play copy of a classic lp and too good to just discard in any case. Really hope it goes to a good home. Please do not bid on it if marks on records and surface noise is going to really bother you.
