Black Cat Bones – Barbed Wire Sandwich Decca Nova 1970 Stereo SDN15


Massively rare, this 1970 Decca Nova release was the only LP by progressive blues rock outfit Black Cat Bones - and this Stereo pressing is even harder to find. 2W/1W matrices.

It plays through without a problem though there are plenty of surface lines and scuffs. It's LOUD and grades Very Good on my deck - expect some pops and surface noise, but none of these are bad enough to disturb your listening experience too much. Clearly it's not one for audiophiles, and I'm pricing it sensibly given the crazy prices this album usually fetches.

The laminated sleeve is a solid VG+ with some wear, staining and creasing, couple of minor tears at the opening edge, and a two-inch seam split to the top edge. The spine is all readable however, and it's in better shape than plenty from this era.

Labels are decent with some spindle wear, and it comes with an original Decca stereo inner sleeve in excellent order.

A rare collectable from rock's golden era, very likely to prove a sound investment.
