Here we have one of the rarest psyche hard rock records of all time!
That Black Cat Bones remains a known name is due to two musicians whose names remain stubbornly absent from the credits. Celebrated guitarist Paul Kossoff would go on to superstar status as a founder member of Free, but started his musical career in earnest in these ranks. And though neither he nor drummer Simon Kirke appear here, Koss's featured replacement is Rod Price, a player of no mean ability who would later take his axe-wielding skills to Stateside fame and fortune with Foghat.
Barbed Wire Sandwich is a record that you come across once in your lifetime! It was pressed in such little numbers that I would hasten a guess that only a hundred or so are still around and most will be in a poor state! It is always played to death yet still commands a high price due to its absolute rarity!
But here we have a truly MINT copy!
There is not one line or blemish to the vinyl! It is as new!
This is a once in a lifetime record that you will never see again, and I truly doubt that there is a better copy still in existence!
The outer sleeve is truly lovely, sharp and clean condition showing the indicator hole at the back that reveals the blue stereo inner!

Sleeve Condition.
The 1st print Senol Ltd front laminated sleeve is in superb condition! There are no rips, tears, splits or writing to mention! All the edges are straight and crisp with only the very mildest shelf wear to corners. The colours are as vibrant as they were on the day of release. There is only some very minimal laminate lift to top edge, and I mean minimal! The spine is perfectly readable as it should be. The unlaminated rear which is open to damage is still lovely and clean with only the very mildest sign of discolouring. It truly is the best sleeve I have seen for this unbelievably rare record!

Inner Condition.
The 1st press stereo blue Decca inners are in Excellent condition, with no writing, stains or splits to mention! All the edges are nice and sharp and it holds the record perfectly as it should. Just some mild creasing to mention! There is the coding 1-70 to the bottom which indicates January 1970 when the record was first released!

Label Condition.
The first press Decca Nova labels with silver writing on a light blue background are in fantastic condition. There are no rips, rubbing, writing or stains to mention. There is no centre hole damage at all. Even under a strong light, there is only one invisible spindle to be seen! It’s clear that this record has only been played once or at most twice!

Vinyl Visual Condition.
The record itself looks beautiful! It still retains its factory shine and lustre with no scratches or warping at all. Under a strong halogen bulb only the very slightest almost invisible removal lines can be seen. It is as you would expect to be if you had bought it last week! Utterly Stunning in every way!

Vinyl Audio Condition.
I didn’t want to play the record due to its scarcity and the fact it so very mint, but I did as even mint copies can sometimes sound poor over time, but everything is as you would expect... Perfect! Just an utterly pristine play through, not a pop click, jump or crackle to be heard. This truly is an archive museum quality piece!

So there we have it. A mint copy of one of the rarest of rarities out there. A record that will only appreciate over time and I hasten that this copy is the most pristine in existence!

Over the next month I will be listing my Fathers record collection. He was an avid collector who amassed a pretty huge collection that I will be offering all at 99p starts! I shall be listing No Emi Harvests, 1st press Beatles, Pink Islands and loads of other rarities!
