V/A 'Come Aboard! QE2' UK stereo LP on Sceptre, 1969 (SALR 1216).

Very rare original UK LP released on Scepter Records in 1969. Released to coincide with the launch of the Cunard Line's Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise liner in 1968. Album consists of two sides of spoken word and sound effects mixed with various bands and acts that played on the opening tour of the QE2. The LP was sold only on the QE2 and at various ports of call. There is no track listing, only names and music styles of the bands.

Two minutes into side two, the barely-recorded Black Cat Bones turn up in the liner’s little onboard discotheque with a fabulous little beat-driven monster, smeared with some very tasty guitar courtesy or either Rod Price, later of Foghat, or Bob Weston, later of Fleetwood Mac.

Condition: NM/NM.

Cover: Near Mint condition - very light ring wear.

Record: Near Mint condition - stunning original glossy sheen, feint scuffs that do not affect play.
