I'm selling my vinyl copy of the Black Moth Super Rainbow (BMSR) album Dandelion Gum, released in 2008. I purchased the limited edition 'Bubblegum Pink' double LP when it was first released. Mine is one of the copies with gold numbering on the back; mine is number 182 out of 500. This version has become quite rare on the second-hand market and is apparently highly sought after by fans of BMSR. I never listen to it so I'm hoping to find it a new home with someone who loves this band.
I must admit I'm not really a big fan of BMSR, so I only listened to it once or twice when I first bought it and then basically forgot about it. It has since been sitting in a crate of LPs unplayed for about 13 years. I took it out to test and listen to last night. Visually, both of the pink 12" discs appear to be in excellent condition. Upon playing the album, I did not notice any clicks, pops, or skipping. There were a couple instances where I thought I heard surface noise, but upon listening to the digital version of this album I remembered that's just how the recording sounds due to the band's Lo-Fi aesthetic. I don't have much experience selling records, but based on what I've read on the Goldmine Grading Guide I believe the actual vinyl is in Near Mint (NM or M-) condition. It's probably the only record I own that could fall into that category.
As for the cover sleeve, there are a few small signs of wear so I think it falls into the Very Good + (VG+) category. The only real signs of wear are along the edges of the cover as well as a small mark (less than 1") on the spine. The graphics on the front, back, and inside the gatefold all look well preserved. The "scratch and sniff" bubblegum sticker on the front has very slight discoloration along its edges, probably due to oxidation of whatever chemical(s) were applied to give it the scent. There is not much of an odor left either, but I think I detect a faint scent of bubblegum. The internal paper record sleeves are fully intact and have not ripped or been torn.
