Black Sabbath 1st Press OZ LP Master of reality VG+ ’71 Vertigo Swirl 6360050
Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1971 on the Vertigo Swirl Label. Cat: 6360050. Comes in gloss embossed cover.The shortest album of Black Sabbath's glory years, Master of Reality is also their most sonically influential work. Here Tony Iommi began to experiment with tuning his guitar down three half-steps to C#, producing a sound that was darker, deeper, and sludgier than anything they'd yet committed to record. (This trick was still being copied 25 years later by every metal band looking to push the limits of heaviness, from trendy nu-metallers to Swedish deathsters.) Much more than that, Master of Reality essentially created multiple metal subgenres all by itself, laying the sonic foundations for doom, stoner and sludge metal, all in the space of just over half an hour.

There are some light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some light crackles in parts most noticeable at end of side 1. and is in VG+ Condition. Gloss embossed cover has light ring wear and a few tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ Condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
