Description
I have been collecting records for decades and the time has come for some of them to find a new home. Most will be in excellent condition, some have been in my family for years and remain unplayed. I will grade them all fairly and listen to most before listing.
All of them will be professionally cleaned before being sent.

Up for auction here is a Very Rare first Uk pressing of the debut Lp by the legends Black Sabbath . This was released in the Uk on Vertigo Records in 1970Catalogue number VO 6. This is a rare first pressing with the Philips credit on the label.
It has the matrix number of VO6 1Y#1 420 1 28 and
VO6 2Y#1 420 1 23
The vinyl is visually in Very Good+ condition and looks very nice with some signs of play. The audio is ok and it plays through without and skips or jumps. There is background crackle throughout, which is more noticeable on side 2. I have always played it loud and still enjoyed it. I would grade the audio as Very Good- on side 1 and Good ++ on side 2.
The Labels are excellent.
The Original gatefold sleeve is conservatively graded as Very Good due to some light creasing and signs of wear. There is a small name written on the rear. It has the miss spelling of “Ossie” in the credits.
Still has its original vertigo inner sleeve which has some creasing
Overall a nice copy of this absolute classic.

I use Record Collector ratings to grade my vinyl. These are :
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
