To the best of my judgement this double album is unplayed albeit its been in existence for 44 years but read on.
This is the UK issued 1973 Vertigo gatefold double LP 6499 386 'Suck It and See' with machine etched matrix numbers. Is a Sampler of various artists of which there are seventeen shown on the inside cover with their track listings. Some were more commercial, some less so and obscure. Interesting that several tracks are listed as being 'From his / their forthcoming album'.
So, the vinyls are flat and shiny. It's hard to see any signs of spindle tracking (when trying to locate the record on the player spindle) at the label holes so my belief is the discs are unplayed. This view is reinforced by the still present vinyl whiskers from the manufacturing pressing process. As such the vinyls are very clean and all I can report are some very light scuffs which is to be expected as the vinyls have been living in their sleeves for the past four decades. I rate the discs 9/10 for condition.
The vinyls originally came with rather bland and boring plain white inner sleeves. I've taken the liberty of using two reissue Vertigo sleeves which add to the vibe but more importantly are polythene lined for increased protection.
Quite a heavy card was used for the solid cover which has a laminated outer and a matt inner. No rips, tears or writing with sharp corners, edges and mouth. There Is a hint of ringwear and very minor creasing. The front top left has a faded circle from a previous price sticker plus the lamination has taken a small rub on the bottom. I'm still tempted to give it a 9 but let's say 8.5/10.
For a change I'm listing as a BIN. To my mind the current guide price for this 1973 2-LP is far too low so I'm pitching where I think it should be in this condition and to include free UK postage.
