Description

An original 1st press of MOR on the UK vertigo label. Matrix 1/1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original embossed box cover manufactured by Howards Printers. There's NO original poster or Inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks per side, and a couple of superficial trails - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. By and large a very decent player with only a few minor faults. Intros and inbetweens are mostly nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. When it's on song it sounds fab and there's little to grumble about. In one or two isolated spots it's just exhibiting a bit of static which stops it getting to the top grades. I'm detecting a few crackles in the first 10 seconds of Sweet Leaf and then it pays clean. And in 'Solitude', which is the fussy track, I'm detecting a bit of static background occasionally here and there. Nothing invasive or likely to detract from the listeners enjoyment. But I need to make sure that the buyer is aware the copy is not faultless.
Cover (Vg+) Difficult to find in top condition because the box cover nearly always skews under pressure on a record shelf. And this example is no exception to this phenomena, but it is still preserved to a very decent standard. Both front and back still lie very nice and flat and, apart from a couple of light creases each side, do not appear to exhibit laminate lift or heavy creasing. There's a bit of edge wear in places, but nothing epic. The spine obviously is not totally at right angles - as is often the case. but, apart from a few light stress creases, is in very nice order with all text legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
