Black Sabbath, Master of Reality - 1971 US first pressing. RARE "Masters" Label Misprint. Columbia Pitman Pressing / Artisan Audio Master.
This is a highly collectible 1971 U.S. first pressing of Black Sabbath's iconic album featuring the rare early-run label errors and top tier Artisan mastering.
**Label and pressing detail

  • Featuring the rare "Masters of Reality" (with an "s") typo on both olive green Warner Bros. labels.
  • Features the "Ioomi" track credit misspelling.
  • Features the early track subtitles (The Elegy, The Haunting...)
  • Runout dead wax stamped with the Artisan Sound Recorders logo on both sides. Includes the Pitman "C" / "AC" markings.
*The vinyl is in VG++ condition and maintains a beautiful original gloss. I could only locate some small faint surface scuffs on inspection. Play tested and this album plays beautifully with clear, powerful audio. *The cover features the correct heavy raised embossed lettering. The front and back have no visible ring wear, it shows standard edge and corner shelf wear for a 55 year old album, some wrinkling near the spine, and a small piece torn out (less than 1/2") near the jacket opening (can be seen in photos), otherwise fully intact and structurally sound.
