Black Sabbath Master of Reality LP 1st pres 1971 US misprint OliveGreen WB label

  Offered here is a 1971 U.S. first pressing with embossed cover LP of Black Sabbath's Master of Reality vinyl album, complete with the original inner sleeve.  The photos will verify it has the olive green disc labels, WB shield at the top, and 'STEREO' printed at the bottom above the rim text on both sides' labels.

  This version has some of the original printing errors on the labels that were corrected on subsequent copies.  For instance:
 The album name is pluralized to Masters of Reality instead of Master.
 Side 1 has 5 songs listed and Side 2 has 6 songs. Later versions have 4 songs each side.
 Track 2 lists "After Forever (Including The Elegy)" on Side 1, and misspells Tony's last name as Ioomi.  Subsequent copies eliminate "(Including The Elegy)".
  Side 1 track 5 lists The Haunting.  This is missing from future printings.
 Side 2 has 2 songs that are not named on future printings: Step Up, and Deathmask.

  The Matrix / Runouts are Side 1: BS-2562 39928-1 (Artisan Symbol) and Side 2: BS-2562 39929-1 (Artisan Symbol)

  I am the original owner and this album has rested vertically in my collection in a bookcase in a pet-free, smoke-free home since my youth.  I haven't played it in probably 40 years but after Ozzy's passing I had to play through all my Sabbath albums multiple times bringing back so many memories.

  Sabbath was my first concert in 1974 at the Nassau Coliseum.  A band named Bedlam opened for them and was great.  Then we had to wait an hour for Sabbath to take the stage.  We were standing on the floor and the crowd grew more and more rowdy as time went on waiting, occasionally setting small fires in the aisles.  When they did come out Ozzy complained of  a sore throat so Tony and the rest did some instrumentals for a couple songs but eventually Ozzy kicked in and did an amazing show.  I last saw Sabbath at Ozzfest in 2004 at Jones Beach because Bill Ward was supposed to return but sadly did not. Slipknot and Judas Priest played that day too.

  I am not a professional grader so I read up on what goldminemag had to say.  There description of the grade for VG+ says:

"records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience."

  There is one small scuff on side 1 I included a photo of and there are a bunch of short hairlines on both sides which I read came from when I kept it in it's paper sleeve before switching to MoFi sleeve.  When I listened to it again today there was some Surface noise and ticks during quiet passages and between songs that were not heard once they dove in.  The only real exception is when Solitude plays on Side 2.  It is such a quiet song you do hear some surface noise and pops here and there.

  Please look over the photos to see the scuff mark.  The cover has a lot of creases that I took photos of to show that many do not break the ink but the edges do have a lot of ink missing and the spine did break through in the middle.  The vinyl is in a MoFi Original Master Sleeve and the cover is in an Invest In Vinyl 3 mil outer sleeve you can also see from the photos.  Sadly this copy did not come with the poster.
