Up for sale is an absolute archival-grade time capsule copy of Black Sabbath's heavy metal masterpiece, Master of Reality. This is the highly collectible late 1970s Warner Bros. Records US pressing (Catalog: BS 2562) featuring the iconic embossed jacket and the classic Burbank Palm Tree center labels.

What makes this specific copy an incredible collector's piece is its pristine preservation and rock-solid provenance. The album jacket is still housed in its original factory shrink wrap, complete with the original retail price tag in the top right-hand corner.

Best of all, trapped safely underneath the shrink wrap on the lower left is the original, faded register receipt showing an exact purchase date of August 18, 1977. The record has been meticulously cared for and played a grand total of three times before being stored away safely for decades.

Please note that as a standard feature of this specific 1976 to 1977 reissue pressing run, the fold-out poster was not included by the manufacturer.

Under normal light, the vinyl displays gorgeous factory gloss. When inspected under strict raking light, some faint white areas and light paper scuffs are visible on both sides. These are purely cosmetic surface markings. Clean Burbank labels.

Near Mint (NM) Play-graded completely on both sides using high-fidelity Sennheiser headphones. The audio quality is absolutely stunning, crisp, and clear. There are zero pops, clicks, or surface crackles over the scuffed areas. It plays like a brand-new record.

Gorgeous, crisp, embossed cover that has been perfectly shielded by its original shrink wrap. Corners remain exceptionally sharp with no signs of ring wear or typical storage damage.

As shown in photograph #19, there is a smooth curvature to the jacket from being stored upright on a shelf with other albums, which is expected to return completely flat once stored under pressure in your collection.

Original retail price tag intact on the top right shrink. Vintage August 18, 1977 paper cash register receipt is perfectly preserved inside the shrink on the bottom left.
