Description
Black Sabbath – Never Say Die – 1978 – This was Ozzy’s last record with the band until the reformation in 2013 and the resulting appropriately titled 13. The record has to some extent been retrospectively viewed as the dying gasp of a once great band. The Sabs might have had internal conflicts but they were still progressing. There is some use of synthesisers, some sax and Tony Iommi even stretches out with some jazz-like guitar runs. If they’d have stayed together I think this record would probably be hailed as a great step forward. It’s worth a listen.
