Black Sabbath ORIG OZ LP Master of reality EX ’71 Reverse Vertigo Swirl 6360050
Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1971 on the Vertigo Swirl label. Cat: 6360050. Has rare reverse black with white writing vertigo swirl label. Comes in gloss embossed cover.
This record came from a collection in absolutely stunning condition, many not played at all and most only played a few times at best.
The shortest album of Black Sabbath's glory years, Master of Reality is also their most sonically influential work. Here Tony Iommi began to experiment with tuning his guitar down three half-steps to C#, producing a sound that was darker, deeper, and sludgier than anything they'd yet committed to record. (This trick was still being copied 25 years later by every metal band looking to push the limits of heaviness, from trendy nu-metallers to Swedish deathsters.) Much more than that, Master of Reality essentially created multiple metal subgenres all by itself, laying the sonic foundations for doom, stoner and sludge metal, all in the space of just over half an hour.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Excelelnt condition. Gloss, embossed cover has a few light marks and is in Excellent condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
