ParanoidOriginal 1st Press UK LP released in 1970 on the large Vertigo swirl black & White label. Cat: 6360011. Comes in matt finish gatefold sleeve. Does not have Jim Simpson credit on inside of gatefold. Comes with original Vertigo Swirl inner bag which is in VG++ condition.
This batch of LP’s are from a very recently acquired collection of all original late 60’s early 70’s pressing LP’s. There are around 200 albums I hope to list over the coming weeks some fantastic titles amongst them most over 45 years old!! I have hand cleaned and listened to every album and graded conservatively (as per usual) to give the most accurate grading I can. I hope you enjoy browsing or bidding on the titles as much as I have listening to them all.
Paranoid was not only Black Sabbath's most popular record (it was a number one smash in the U.K., and "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" both scraped the U.S. charts despite virtually nonexistent radio play), it also stands as one of the greatest and most influential heavy metal albums of all time. Paranoid refined Black Sabbath's signature sound crushingly loud, minor-key dirges loosely based on heavy blues-rock and applied it to a newly consistent set of songs with utterly memorable riffs, most of which now rank as all-time metal classics.

Labels are lovely and clean with only a few spindle marks visible. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that produce some light crackles throughout mostly only noticeable between tracks and in softer passages (Not many of them here!). Thick gatefold cover has some ring wear, scuffing on corners and some tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.
