DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath LP- Paranoid. Complete very early UK pressing of this classic Sabbath LP. Gatefold sleeve. Big swirl label with 1Y1 420 12 / 2Y1 420 12 Matrix. No Big Bear credit. Original swirl inner dated 0970. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: VERTIGO 6360 011 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1970 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX/VG. Vinyl is very clean with a dark sheen and only a few very,very light hairlines. . Played in its entirey today on my Pro-ject Deck at a decent volume. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent. Music is clear and loud with great seperation and power. "War Pigs" is usually a decent test and this vinyl passes with flying colours- clean,clear and loud with amazing bass/depth to the sound. There is the faintest hint of background sound in part of "Planet Caravan" but the music remains supremely prominent and thats about it as far as background sound goes. Even between the tracks is very quiet. "Iron Man" is awesome, clean and crisp with mind-bending power. The whole of side 2 plays excellent, the quiet passages of "Hand of Doom" play clearly with no background sound and after that its plain sailing through to "Fairies Wear Boots" which is as powerful and clean as you would expect. Cover is firm and square and retains decent shape. Has only light top edgewear and moderate bottom edge wear, moderate cornerwear and light creasing. 2 very small scuff marks to rear cover. Decent shape to spine which has near moderate wear. Inside of gatefold is nice and clean again with no writing or sticker tears. Clean classic swirl labels which still have clean tight spindleholes and no writing or rips!! .Original swirl inner is not bad at all with only one 2" edge split and some yellowing to both sides. It has a few tears around the centre on one side (pictured), none on the other.. Poly is still strong and intact. Ive kept the record in a different inner since i got it. I will send you both. No writing, stickers or sticker tears. This is from my personal collection, I am only letting it go due to a recent upgrade and that was for the sleeve, the audio on this copy is very hard to beat. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of surface sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
