DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath LP- 1st self titled LP. Early (2nd) UK press with 1Y1/2Y1 matrix, gatefold sleeve with black interior and "Dunbar" credit, vertigo swirl inner and big swirl labels without "Phillips" credit. In top condition throughout. Packed this weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double. Please note all postage costs include full insurance, tracking and top quality packaging. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Vertigo VO 6 847 903 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1970. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is very clean with a great sheen. It has only a couple of very light hairlines that prevent visual EX grade but have no effect on playback whatsoever. Played in its entirety tonight at a decent volume on my budget deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Music sounds nearer to NM than EX throughout , pretty much faultless. Music is clean, clear, loud and powerful. I could not detect any background sound, even between the songs. Cover is also in nice clean shape. It is firm and square and has less than light edge wear (moderate to bottom edges hence VG+ only grade) light corner wear and negligible creasing. Spine retains nice shape. Swirl inner is also in nice shape. It is clean and with no writing and no tears around centre. It has light wear and the start of a fine 1" split to centre of bottom edge only. It has yellowing to one edge- check out the photos, Poly is still securely attached and has no splits. Super clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Really clean looking and fantastic sounding copy of one of the best LPs ever. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER SABBATH/PUNK/METAL/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE. EACH EXTRA SINGLE DISC LP IS ROUGHLY £1.75 TO EUROPE, £2.75 TO THE AMERICAS AND £3.25 TO THE REST OF THE WORLD.
