THIS IS A SUPER RARE ABSOLUTE FIRST PRESSING WITHOUT GIVING A WRITING CREDIT TO ANSLEY DUNBAR FOR THE SONG "WARNING" ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE A STICKLER, THIS COPY IS NOT FOR YOU! THE VINYL and COVER ARE A LITTLE ROUGH. PLEASE READ ON!
I'M GIVING YOU FAIR WARNING, YOU WILL HEAR A LOT OF SURFACE NOISE AND POPS & CLICKS TYPICAL WITH A GOOD GRADING. UNLESS YOU ARE JUST LOOKING FOR A GOOD COVER.
PLEASE NOTE: The Vinyl has HEAVY wear from age & use and has FEELABLE AND NON-FEELABLE surface marks that WILL cause surface noise typical with a Good grading. Even with a Good grading there will be a certain amount of surface noise. Certainly, more noticeable during the quiet parts.
THE SURFACE MARKS DO NOT CAUSE ANY SKIPS WHEN PLAYED ON MY TURNTABLE, BUT YOU WILL HEAR A LOT OF SURFACE NOISE INCLUDING POPS & CLICKS THROUGHOUT, ESPECIALLY DURRING THE SOFTER PASSAGES.(please see pics)PLEASE REMEMBER ALL TURNTABLES ARE DIFFERENT, SO I CANNOT GAURANTEE THAT IT WILL NOT SKIP WHEN PLAYED ON YOUR TURNTABLE.
PLEASE NOTE: The cover is in Good condition with HEAVY wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings / soft corners, creases, crumples, fading, dings, staining, scrapes, ring wear, etc...
PLEASE NOTE: The cover has a medium sized split seam on the bottom. And there a few small splits on the top seam. (please see pics)
PLEASE NOTE: There is fading / peeling along the seams of the spine that is typical with age. (please see pics)
IF ANY OF THESE ISSUES ARE A COVERN FOR YOU, PLEASE DON'T BUY IT.SUPER RARE VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:
1) HAS THE ORIGINAL GREEN LABELS,2 HAS OZZY OSBOURNE'S FIRST AND LAST NAME MISSPELLED AS "OSSIE OSBORNE" ON THE REAR COVER,
3) DOES NOT GIVE SONGWRITING CREDIT TO ANSLEY DUNBAR FOR THE SONG "WARNING". THIS WAS QUICKLY CORRECTED FOR LATER PRESSINGS. ANSLEY DUNBAR WROTE THIS SONG AND WAS NOT CREDITED ON THE VERY FIRST PRESSING.
PLAY TESTED! I recently played this LP and it STILL SOUNDS DECENT! But you WILL hear A LOT of surface noise typical with a Very Good grading.
Up for sale is one (1) Black Sabbath - Self Titled Debut LP from 1970 on Warner Bros. Records (#WS 1871). This is a First Pressing from 1970 with the original Green Warner Bros. labels.Also has the Artisan symbol etched in the deadwax signaling a high quality mastering.
Features, of course, OUR HEROES: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler & Bill Ward.Nice, fairly clean labels with spindle marks.
Includes the original Warner Bros. stock inner sleeve. There is a split seam on the bottom and some staining on 1 side.
