This one has great audio on this 1971 recording great nice flat 70s pre oil crisis heavy thick vinyl with no warping or other worrying faults... *this just sounds so much better*...it has some surface noise at intros and quieter passages nothing serious on this original copy.

This first *ICONIC 1971 UK Vertigo* estimated sold only around 50,000 in 71  how many are left...

 not available in this format in USA and Canada! where it went gold and later platinum founding the bones of *stoner rock* Nirvanna famously cite this album as *the one* a real time piece and collectors find. growing in value and a great listen!  recorded at island studios London in early 71.

so what here you get the better quality *lower volume* UK pressings on thick 70s vinyl and the Iconic UK Black and White Vertigo *Swirl* label.

This is a "Near Excellent* not perfect not mint not near Mint ! please if you want Mint look elsewhere this is a played and cared for Near Ex copy.

It almost certain if you are reading this you already have a pristine example re issue , this is the 55 year old original copy.

Near *Ex Vinyl* + Ex *Cover* and reproduction poster pretty faithful to the original.

the original "Vertigo Swirl" inner is present!, no rips or tears aged 55.

Has its 6/71 stamp see photos.

The very first July 1971 UK Large Swirl pressing 1Y 2Y 1st ever matrixes!

The Record

Near Excellent condition

Near Excellent condition on this 1970 1st Pressing 636050-1Y and 636050-2Y,

a real timepiece looks great! a few spindle lines on labels and stored upright in PVC jacket for many years.

Record has some light surface lines to report there are removal scuffs under strong light, still a real finders dream! Its not a perfect, its been played.

Bass plays incredible with some light background noise at intros could benefit from a professional clean, we don't do this its a personal thing.

some light "clicks or pops" in the quieter passages and intros to *Solitude* and *Embryo* 

the overall volume of the music is easily enjoyable on the 55 year old, super shiny clean fat pre oil crisis 70s vinyl (see pics) great swirl labels...

We played this loud on the Rega it sounded as it should.

no writing stickers or tape to report.

the original "Vertigo Swirl" inner is present along with a new lined sleeve. the original swirl inner has aged and yellowed slightly but is in good order no tears or rips.

Vgc+ at 55.

Coded 6/71 date stamp.

Difficult to find these in good order now.

The Cover

Ex Condition 

Great original 1971  cover with UK "high gloss laminate finish" an Ex condition with almost zero ringwear to rear, no writing stickers or tape to report.

the top opening cover normally suffers this one is in good order with no seriuos damage, some laminate

 creases nothing serious around opening folding edge see top edge pic.  no *worrying faults!*

Really difficult to locate these in Ex now.

some light rounding at corners , no splits or tears to worry about.

the reproduction poster is mint really nice quality,

Its pretty faithful to the original.

clear clean repro truly a collectors find.

no pin holes, tape or writing and no worrying faults + a great sleeve *Excellent*

Plays fantastic with bright clear sound and amazing bass, may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) some background static is noticeable in the quieter passages but only a few pops nothing to disrupt playing no sticks or jumps on our Rega 3.
