This one has solid punchy audio on this 1971 recording great nice flat 70s pre oil crisis vinyl with no warping or other worrying faults... 

This first *ICONIC 1971 UK Vertigo* estimated sold only around 50,000 in 71  how many are left...

 not available in this format in USA and Canada! where it went gold and later platinum founding the bones of *stoner rock* Nirvanna famously cite this album as *the one* a real time piece and collectors find. growing in value and a great listen!  recorded at island studios London in early 71.

so what here you get the better quality *lower volume* UK pressings on thick 70s vinyl and the Iconic UK Black and White Vertigo *Swirl* label.

please if you want Mint unplayed or Excellent look elsewhere this is a played and cared for VGC plus copy.

*VGC + Vinyl*  `VGC plus *Cover* and reproduction poster pretty faithful to the original.

the original "Vertigo Swirl" inner is present but the plastic inner is long gone its 47 years old, , no rips or tears aged nearly 47! it is faded yellowed see photos.

Very Good plus condition

The labels are super clean this has been stored for many many years

VGC plus condition on this 1970 1st Pressing 636050-1Y1 and 636050-2Y1,

a real timepiece , has surface lines, scuffs, see photos, stored upright in PVC jacket for many years.some light removal lines a few surface hairlines to report there are removal scuffs under strong light, still a finders dream with near ex cover and poster!

plays incredible with some light background noise could benefit from a professional clean, we don't do this its a personal thing. some light "clicks " in the quieter passages intro to *Solitude* but the overall volume of the music is easily enjoyable on the soon to be 47 year old, super shiny clean fat pre oil crisis 70s vinyl (see pics) great swirl labels...

the original "Vertigo Swirl" inner is present along with a new lined sleeve. the original swirl inner has aged and yellowed slightly also the plastic liner is absent but is in good order no tears or rips.

The Cover

Near Ex Condition 

the top opening cover normally suffers this one is in good order with no serious damage, some laminate cracks as normal with this box sleeve,

 cracked around opening folding edge see top edge pic. nothing serious no *worrying faults!* its got storage wear but in amazing order for almost 47 years! only laminate creasing keeping it away from EX .

very light rounding at corners , no splits or tears to worry about.

no writing stickers or tape to report. no worrying faults....

the reproduction poster is really nice quality clear clean and not a lot of handling evident, truly a collectors find. no holes, tape or writing and no worrying faults a great sleeve that would be *Excellent* only the laminate on lid cracking and lines keeping it *VGC plus* a nice box cover not too flatened like many.

Plays without any skips or jumps, amazing bass on this , may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) background static is noticeable in the quieter passages and some clicks nothing to disrupt playing no sticks or jumps on our Rega 3.
