Description
This is the first UK Vertigo pressing of the first self titled Black Sabbath lp. In exceptional condition, it has all of the requirements that identify the initial release. The gatefold cover has liner credits in caps, Ozzy is spelled Ossie, matrix stampers are all correct as well. The inner sleeve is also correct, and has Stereo and patents numbers and warnings.
Condition:
Vinyl is superb, no marks and shiny, it appears and sounds M- or better
The inner sleeve is intact but shows some browning along the seams.
The gatefold cover has no writing, tears, and is clean and tight. Very light evidence of handling.
The previous owner took great pains to carefully tape all the edge seams (except the opening), with clear tape, presumably as a protective. Please see the images, all are of this item and show condition. The photos illustrate how the tale is difficult to see as it is transparent but does show more at the corners.
Because of the tape the cover is graded as VG++
There is a reasonable reserve on this sale.
