DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath - Vol 4 LP. Original 1st UK pressing with 1Y1/2Y1 ("PORKY"/ "PECKO") matrix, no "Made in England" on small swirl label and gate fold sleeve with still attached booklet. Vertigo Swirl inner dated 0970.  Packed this weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double.

CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX-/VG. Vinyl is really clean with a nice dark sheen. Tilted to light it shows a superficial  short surface line on part of "Snowblind" on Side 2. It  has no effect on playback but possibly prevents full visual EX grade. I never use EX- as a grade but will for this LP.  This plays better than EX and is miles better than VG+ visually. Played all of this this evening on my budget deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Plays EX and better. Music is clear, clean, vibrant and loud. One of the best sounding copies I have ever had of this.   Even "FX", "Changes" and "Laguna "Sunrise"   have no audible background sound .  Its a great LP and this is the best way to listen to it.  Gate fold sleeve is in decent shape, an okay VG . It is firm and square and has moderate to heavy edge wear, moderate to heavy corner wear and light creasing.  Light to moderate rubbing to front and rearof sleeve. Really clean inside to sleeve.  Booklet is still fully and firmly attached in original site.  Vertigo swirl inner sleeve is in clean condition with fully attached poly, light wear, no splits, moderate yellowing and a couple of small areas of cellotape residue to one side. Really clean Vertigo swirl labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.  Fantastic sounding 1st UK pressing.

I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 40-50 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
