Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Very Good + to Excellent Minus (Supremely sharp and clear sound, minimal audible crackle throughout the tracks, minimal background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks. VG+ to EX- sound quality (Playtested 25th January 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Very Good + (there are quite a number of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there are 3 or 4 more feelable scratches on the record but these do not affect playback in any way though, there may also be a few paper scuffs/traces from the inner sleeve under bright light, looks to have been played on quite a few occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for reasonably well, labels are reasonably clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is only slight wear around the spindle holes, no pen marks or writing on the label)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good (no major creasing to the front corners apart from a slight bottom left corner crease and a tiny bottom right right corner crease, no major creasing to the rear corners, no spine splits, there is some spine wear/rubbing but the spine is still just legible, no top edge splits, no bottom edge splits, both top and bottom edges have some noticeable wear/rubbing on them, no major rips or tears in the sleeve, some corner rubbing, moderate staining/discolouration on the sleeve, there is some ringwear on the front and back (more so on the back) where there is a faint white ring that has been left on the sleeve, the sleeve does suffer from some storage wear/rubbing generally but this sleeve is notorious for this kind of wear/rubbing because of the way it was initially made)

Extra Notes: This LP is supposed to come with a 2 page booklet inside the gatefold sleeve but this one has been misplaced and is not present.

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
