Description
I've seen better, but I've seen a lot worse too...
The sleeve is 'good plus'. It is showing its age on the outside but is generally sound, with no tears/writing/tape/sticker marks etc . The booklet in the middle is in very good condition with no rips,tears stains etc.
The inner sleeve is fading with age but is otherwise sound. Someone has written a small 'B Vol 4' in the top left corner.
As for the vinyl, it plays fine with just a little surface noise. It needs a clean which I will do (Disco Antistat) which will improve up the sound considerably before it is sent out (unless you prefer to clean it yourself - let me know). Unfortunately, there is an inaudible but horrible looking scratch covering FX/Supernaut at he end of side one. I've tried to show it as best I can in the picture. As I say, it plays fine; you can't hear it, but the scratch looks bad; whoever did it wants horsewhipping. Otherwise the condition is very good/very good plus.
Overall, this is a perfectly serviceable copy of a rare (ish) record with 99p starting price and no reserve.
Your record will be placed within a strong card package with plenty of stiffening for protection. Everything is sent first class and 'signed for'. International rates on request - I will use Royal Mail's calculator and get back to you with the price as soon as I can. All payment via Paypal only.
Please note: I try to be as honest and descriptive as I can and grade records as I see them as per the Record Collector's Guide below.These things can be a bit subjective, but I prefer a happy buyer; I won't describe a dirty great scratch as 'light marking' etc.
"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
The bottom line is this: I want you to be happy with what you've bought from me. If you have any problems or queries I will do what I can to put it right. I will be happy to refund you (including postage) if you think my description was incorrect, so long as the record is returned in the same condition as it went out. Return postage will be down to the buyer.
