Description

Black Sabbath are a band I have had a funny relationship.  Like everyone else I was blown away by how they announced themselves on their debut album. The track Black Sabbath on the album Black Sabbath by the Band Black Sabbath in my view is unsurpassed as an opening 6 minutes in any bands career. It lays down an marker and tells you everything you need to know about this band. After this I struggled with Ozzy's voice on later albums as if I am honest I preferred the Dio era - now there was a proper singer.  However I heard Technical Ecstasy - not expecting to be impressed and loved it so these are my 2 Black Sabbath LP's.  Although it didn't end well as I was very excited to go and see them on this tour and they were dreadful. Ozzy was a mess and you couldn't hear all the instruments and to make matters worse (for them but not for the audience) Van Halen were the support act and came on like headliners and put down a real marker for the future.
