Description
Up for auction is an original extremely rare 1st pressing of "Black Sabbath-Master of Reality" on the Vertigo swirl label. Both sides of the vinyl are in EX+ condition. The only thing keeping this LP from a NM rating are the presence of a few very very faint hairlines that can only be seen under strong light. The vinyl also plays EX+ plus with only faint surface noise during the mellow cuts "Orchid" and "Solitude", which is to be expected during quieter tracks on a 44 year old LP. This doesn't in any way detract from the overall listening experience of these two cuts and is FAR AND AWAY the best fidelity I've ever heard compared to all other formats of these tracks. The same goes for the remaining tracks which offer one an entirely new and absolutely dynamic listening experience if one has yet to hear a first UK Vertigo swirl pressing of this phenomenal album. The embossed laminated box cover is also in EX condition condition given it's age (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS). This particular copy also comes with an original U.S. edition poster that came with the first green Warner Brothers label pressings and is in absolute MINT condition (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS). This happened to be the poster inside the cover when I acquired this album many years back, however it was only recently that I examined it closely and noticed the lettering and numbers on the bottom right corner which indicate that it's a US edition. This also comes with the original Vertigo swirl inner sleeve.
