BOLLYWOOD COLLECTORS LOOK HERE! I go out almost weekly to quality estate sales to find QUALITY items to offer to you. Typically I look for “fun” items. Things I personally enjoy. All items are NEW or in LIKE NEW shape. It is my pleasure to unite these items with new owners/collectors. Today I happened upon a Bollywood LP collector.

Here we have BLACK MAIL (1973)! An Original Motion Picture Soundtrack in its Ultra-Rare 100% Authentic Indian First Pressing Vinyl! This is a beautiful, highly collectible original 1973 Indian first pressing of Kalyanji-Anandji’s classic soundtrack Black Mail. Finding early 1970s Bollywood pressings that play clearly without issues is incredibly difficult, making this particular copy an absolute gem for serious vinyl collectors.

CONDITION & PLAY-TESTING REPORT:

Vinyl Condition (Media): VG+ (Very Good Plus). Under a direct bright light, the vinyl retains a strong, deep, and glossy showroom mirror sheen. There are faint, superficial hairline scuffs visible across the groove lines, but they are strictly cosmetic.

Play-Grade Performance: FULLY PLAY-TESTED / NO SKIPS. This record has been play-tested all the way through and plays smoothly with great dynamics. It delivers a strong, crisp sound across both sides with absolutely zero skips or deep-groove pops.

Jacket Condition (Sleeve): VG+ to EX (Very Good Plus / Excellent). The gatefold cover is in exceptional structural shape. The striking orange and cream ink is vibrant, the black-and-white inner portraits are remarkably crisp, and the seams/spine are fully intact. The corners show only the slightest hint of storage wear. No splitting, water damage, or major creases.

Inner Sleeve: Comes safely housed in a brand-new, clean replacement paper inner liner to protect the vinyl (the original plain paper inner sleeve is not included).

NOTE: Unique Collector Pedigree Mark: The inner gatefold contains an authentic vintage ink stamp from the iconic diaspora hub "The Indian Record House, 70 South Road, Southall, Middx." This historic mark provides incredible provenance, mapping this record’s direct journey as a 1973 import from India straight to the heart of the UK's famous vintage South Asian music scene.

ABOUT THE FILM & MUSIC: Released in 1973, Black Mail (also spelled Blackmail) is a celebrated Bollywood suspense thriller directed by the legendary filmmaker Vijay Anand.

The Plot: The film revolves around a power plant manager, Kailash, whose scientist uncle discovers a revolutionary formula to generate electricity from solar energy. A bitter local businessman and a jealous ex-fiancé hatch an international web of betrayal, manipulation, and blackmail to steal the priceless scientific formula.

The Star-Studded Cast: The film features powerhouse performances by cinema icons Dharmendra (as Kailash), Raakhee Gulzar (as Asha), and Shatrughan Sinha (as the calculating Jeevan).

The Legendary Soundtrack: Masterfully composed by the famous maestro duo Kalyanji-Anandji with timeless lyrics by Rajendra Krishan. This LP features some of the greatest vocal performances in Indian cinema history, most notably Kishore Kumar's immortal, ultra-romantic hit "Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas".

Environment: Kept safely in a clean, smoke-free, and climate-controlled home.

Look over the many photos to see all angles and any flaws. NO STOCK PHOTOS. I have never trusted them. What you see is what you get with no surprises.

The entire package will be placed in a dedicated cardboard LP mailer, sandwiched tightly between rigid corrugated cardboard stiffeners to prevent any bending or twisting in the mail.

Also please note that what I charge for shipping is what I pay. No lower cost item with higher shipping games. I find that very not cool indeed. Shipped in a BOX with proper padding. I will use the safer ground advantage over media mail.
