A beautiful Yazoo Records compilation in homage to the great Blind Blake. As with all Yazoo products, the liner notes are very informative and a class in blues history. Liner notes by Steve Calt and Woody Mann. Of course, Blind Blake is without parallel as a finger picking artist. All guitarists in this style are his descendants. This compilation includes so much good music, it is hard to carve one out for comment. Of course, included is perhaps his most famous recording, Police Dog Blues. Track list below.
