Description
This is another very rare and classic original 1970s era vinyl record LP, in this case "TRUCKIN' MY BLUES AWAY", a true rarity from Yazoo Records, Number 1060, of early recordings by the amazing East Coast Bluesman Blind Boy Fuller, and this album also featuring teriffic album cover graphics by artist and blues aficianado, and authentic roots musician in his own right, Robert Crumb....the album liner notes, by Steve Calt, provide a lot of great biographical detail and perspective on the background and history of Fuller, and also reference numerous other masters of the blues guitar during the era, with this release Mastered and Produced by Nick Perls, and this copy of the lp shows the original Yazoo Peacock labels, and is still housed in the original Yazoo paper inner sleeve, with other classic recordings from the label catalogued on both sides of the sleeve (although showing some obvious wear and splitting along the edges, and some marks made by the original owner who apparently was noting which others from the company he was either seeking or had already obtained)....the cover is in generally good condition, with some edgewear, corner bumps, and obvious ring/pressure wear from the vinyl inside, and a bit of light scufffing and wrinkling here and there as well, but the colors are nice and bright, and all of the extensive notes and credits to the back cover are completely sharp and legible...the vinyl itself is also quite fine overall, and shows only some very minor and faint surface blems and tiny scratches to the surface, really very slight at that....this is a real beauty in every way.....please feel free to email me with any questions, and I'll do my best to provide a satisfactory response.....this is part of a series of unusual art and photography books including rare early issues of I.-D. fashion magazines that I'll be listing this week, along with other collectibles and antique items, rare recordings including Trademark of Quality vintage lps, vintage magazines and bulletins, and other items of ephemera including vintage photographs, programs, and rare and unusual books and magazines relating to Fashion, Hollywood Memorabilia, Natural History, Machinery and Mechanics, Science, Geology, Art, Aviation, and other subjects of great interest (take your pick), that I'll be listing over the next couple of weeks at whipplesbooks on ebay.
