Description

I've owned this since I bought it in 1975 from a stall in the fleamarket at the end of Portobello Road under the Westway and have only played it a few times since.

Some minor surface noise and scratches, in original sleeve. Only 500 are said to have been made, to promote the new Basing Street address for Island Records -- not far from Portobello Road where I bought it.

The uncredited mono recording, the same on each side, was made in March 1969 at Morgan Studios by Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, SteveWinwood, and Rick Grech who'd come together to form Blind Faith, the first UK 'supergroup'.

Although Blind Faith was signed to Polydor Records in the UK, the recording likely ended up as an Island Records promotion because Winwood had been with the company for some years as a member of Traffic.
