-
“BLIND FAITH” self-titled FIRST and ONLY LP by BLIND FAITH (comprised of Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Rick Grech and Ginger Baker)
-
This is ATCO RECORDS SD 33-304.
-
It was released in 1969.
-
This is the VERY UNCOMMON/RARE WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL PRESSING IN STEREO.
-
In addition to WHITE PROMO LABELS on the vinyl, the cover has a ROUND ORANGE STICKER that reads “PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE”.
-
As you probably know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS were ONLY released by record companies to the radio stations and DJs for airplay. They were produced in very small/limited quantities and were NOT made available for sale to the general public; therefore, many promotional records have become highly sought after by vinyl collectors
-
This LP contains the following cuts: “Can’t Find My Way Home”, “Well All Right”, “Sea of Joy”, “Had to Cry Today”, “Presence of the Lord” and “Do What You Like”.
-
The cover is the modified cover without the naked girl that was initially found to be objectionable. The cover has the photo of the band on the front cover and the song lyrics on the rear cover.
-
The COVER is in NICE VG CONDITION with light to moderate overall cover wear including light wear/soiling on the front cover near the spine, some moderate spots, one at the bottom of the front cover and a couple at the bottom of the rear cover, and some light wear/soiling on the rear cover near the opening. The spine and seams are strong. The primarily white rear cover has light aging/”foxing”. There is moderate wear on the bottom right corner and top left corner and a very small push on the bottom right corner. There are NO SEAM SPLITS, NO WRITING, NO TEARS, and NO RING WEAR on this cover. There is a very little bit of cracking on the spine with just one tiny piece of paper loss (¼ -inch).
-
The VINYL is VG to VG- (VG MINUS) CONDITION. It has numerous light/surface hairlines/scuffs, but I do not find any that are “feel-able”. Still there will likely be some degree of surface noise. The vinyl still has lots of gloss. The SIDE ONE LABEL has a name, location and date written in blue on it.P.S.
-
If you haven’t seen the July 7, 1969 concert in Hyde Park, London on-line where Blind Faith (among others) performed, you really should check it out.
