This Herwin release claims these 18 sides were Taggert's complete output for Paramount records. Forget about comparisons to Blind Willy Johnson, who played gospel with slide guitar. He is joined by various others including his brother James and Josh White and also some unknown fiddle player which gives his music a country influence. These are not preaching records. Taggart is a finger picker and his songs are beautiful. LP and cover Mint, still in tight shrink.
