Description
Hello! This is an auction for a copy of the 10" 78 RPM shellac issue of the famous blues single Black Snake Moan/ Match Box Blues by Blind Lemon Jefferson on OKeh, catalogue number 8455. This 78 is in unfortunately pretty rough shape. It has some chipping to the edges, along with what seems to be a bit of mild cracking/ weaknesses to the shellac around the edges... it's hard to describe, but basically it looks like there are a bunch of random mini cracks starting at the edges that maybe go half an inch in and just terminate, or something These could be lamination cracks, since it looks like there is filling in this 78 (you can see it in some of the chips). This 78 also has strong scuffing and scratching to it, along with some pretty mild warping. All of that said, the last time I played this record, it didn't skip or stick at all, although it notably didn't sound good, either. This is a rather rare record and isn't seen that often in any condition, and it is amongst the best known work of Blind Lemon Jefferson. Good luck!

Shipping is $4.99 via USPS Media Mail. I do combine shipping costs, so if you win multiple auctions from me, wait for an invoice.
Note that I will only combine shipping for items bought over a two week period. I will hold off on filing a claim if you tell me you're waiting to bid on some items from me that are ending the next week, but I won't extend that courtesy to the week after that. Unless you contact me beforehand about the matter, I will file a claim if an item isn't paid for after two days.
Due to my job, my weekly window for shipping items out is rather limited. That's why I have 10 business days shipping and handling. I don't always need all that time, but my schedule is restrictive, so sometimes I really do take that long to ship an item out.
