Description
Well its gotten to that point.
I am now selling the gem of my LP collection to help finance a new amplifier I have been lusting after....a Vincent if you must know. Tough decisions, life is full of them.
This is a 1992 Brazilian Pressing of the Blind Melon's first LP. I have been caring for this guy religiously, I am a very considerate collector and I don't take LP care lightly. This LP has been cleaned a few times and It lives in a mobile-fidelity anti-static sleeve, never left out, never in the sun, never left in a hot car, nothing.... perfect condition. I'm not up on any vinyl grading system so I would call the sleeve an 8/10 and the vinyl and 9/10. No scratches or dings on the vinyl, plays perfectly.
This album...wow, how misunderstood was Blind Melon? I would like to think that if you are considering bidding you know what else is on this LP and you know something about the band. Quite possibly the most under rated rock n roll act. True talent, in Spades.
These guys took a breather from the Los Angeles rock and roll life style for a year or two, moved into a house in North Carolina together, started growing their own funny smelling plants (cough cough), and jammed night and day for over a year working out what would ultimatly become this record.
When your lost in the groove, you'll start to understand that the loose sound this LP captures is the best part. This LP has that quality that is so hard to define....like i said earlier, its a loose, jammy sound...almost like they are playing the record for the first time right in front of you and somebody got it on tape. This Brazilian Pressing is a little lighter on the bass than other LP copies of this record I have heard, but the recording space really shows up better...which is why I went with this copy when I bought it a few years ago. You really get a great sense of being in the room with these guys doing their things...its just a classic, this is what its all about. What more can be said? Hate to see this one go...but hey I still have my vinyl copy of Soup!
If you are asking yourself....why would I pay $100 dollars for an album that I can get used as a CD on amazon for $1.99 then you my friend don't know anything about music and you should head back over to your compressed MP3 world right away, you are not welcome here.
I have standard shipping included, starting the bidding at $100. good luck.
