Description

Blind Willie Johnson test pressing, "Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground". Condition is Used but it has only been played three times and only be me (I got it when I worked at the Columbia Recording Studios in New York City). This is a vinyl test pressing made by Columbia Records in the 1970's.  They would use an issued Lp (in this case a Larry Coryell record) and put it in the press, where the heat would soften the vinyl enough to accept the impression made by the stamper. The is one of the most famous (and moving} performances in Gospel music. There are no words; he just moans. Columbia Matrix Number W 145320-1. Free SHIPPING to USA ONLY.
