Blind Willie McTell LP Atlanta 12 string (1972) Atlantic US IMPORT EX++/NM
This is a thick-gatefold cover import album from the USA on Atlantic (SD7224). The Stereo vinyl (1972) LP has been taken from early recordings in 1949. Overall the record and cover look as though the album has very rarely been taken out of the sleeve to be played – it looks almost new. The cover is one of the best I have from the 1970s – very clean, sharp edges, and unmarked inside the gatefold– see below for my description.
The record has been play graded, and has no jumps. In fact I only heard 2 ‘bumps’on the whole album (on track 6 side A ‘Pinetops boogie woogie’), which may have been transferred from the original recordings. The rest of side A plays like new (Near Mint). Side B plays with some crackles and very few clicks (may well be from the original source tape/disc) and is graded Excellent.
The album sounds and looks like it has had very few plays. The labels are clean with no writing, no stickers or other blemishes. Record is graded EXCELLENT++.
The front of the cover: has faintest of wear marks at the corners – very tiny see photos. The rear has extremely light wear – see photos. The spine and edges are perfect with no creases, dents, dinks, no wear or tears, and are clean & sharp.
Inside the gatefold: perfect, both card side and album side – no blemishes at all.
Overall the non-laminated (matt finish) cover looks almost new, and clearly has hardly ever been accessed to play the record. There is no writing, no stickers or residue/removal marks, and no tears or stains. Cover is graded NEAR MINT.

PACKAGING: This item will be protected inside strong thick card. Records are placed in a new white polythene-lined inner sleeve, and packed separately from the record company cover to avoid splitting the seam.
