The 1977 edition of Blondie's first album.
This record is like a little time capsule. Deborah Harry looks fresh-faced. . . . this is pre-fame, pre-heroin, pre-hanging out at Studio 54 and acting famous. The music has a poppy, innocent energy.
There are no big hits on this record, but some hidden gems. Particularly "X Offender" and "Rip Her To Shreds."
The record is in great shape. It sounds fine but the way it was recorded/produced, the bass feels lacking. The sleeve is notched on the upper left, denoting a cutout. A little wear on the corners of the jacket, and the lower left corner is a bit crunched. The inner sleeve is plain white and thus not pictured.
Blondie, before they were famous. The label, Private Stock Records, only existed from 1974 to 1978.
