Description
These items are from my personal collection, accumulated over a 55-year period. This lot contains both the records and the sleeves. The sleeves have been stored without the records since my original purchase at the time of their release. Records and sleeves are visually graded, by me, based on Goldmine grading standards. I try to grade conservatively.
1. Blondie - The Tide is High/Suzy and Jeffrey (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis, CHS 2465). Sleeve is graded VG, with some wrinkling and one small tear on the top edge, light evidence of outer-ring "presence" and some creasing in the lower right-hand corner. Record is graded Excellent, with a couple of light scratches and some cleanable fingerprints on the edges.
2. Blondie - The Hardest Part/Sound-A-Sleep (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis, CHS 2408). Sleeve is graded VG+, with some wrinkling along the top/bottom edges and light evidence of outer-ring "presence". Record is graded VG+, based on a couple of light scratches and cleanable dust.
3. Blondie - Rapture/Walk Like Me (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis, CHS 2485). Sleeve is graded VG+, with some light wrinkling on the top edge and some outer-ring "presence". Record is graded Excellent, with some cleanable dust.
4. Blondie - Island of Lost Souls/Dragonfly (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis, CHS 2603). Sleeve is graded VG+, with some wrinkling in the upper-right/lower-left corners and light evidence of outer-ring "presence". The record is graded Excellent, with a couple of very light scratches.
5. Blondie - Heart of Glass/11:59 (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis, CHS 2295). Sleeve is graded VG due to some light scuffing on parts of the inner ring and along the right side. Record is graded VG+. Side A has a brighter sheen than Side B.
6. Blondie - Hanging on the Telephone/Fade Away and Radiate (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis CHS 2271). Sleeve is graded VG, mostly because of a noticeable scuff along the outer ring area on the sleeve cover and some evidence of outer-ring presence otherwise. Record is graded Excellent, with a couple of what appear to be cleanable blemishes.
7. Blondie - Call Me/Call Me (Instrumental) (US, Record/Picture Sleeve (Blondie)/Picture Sleeve (Gere), Chrysalis, CHS 2414). The "Blondie" Sleeve is graded VG+ due to some wrinkling along the top edge, and some light inner-ring scuffing on the A-side. The "Gere" Sleeve is graded VG+ due to some wrinkling along the top edge and light evidence of outer-ring "presence". Record (there's only one) is graded Excellent, with a couple of very light scratches on Side A.
8. Blondie - Atomic/Die Young Stay Pretty (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis, CHS 2410). Sleeve is graded VG+, with some wrinkling along the top edge and outside the "outer ring" of the sleeve. Record is graded Excellent on both sides.
9. Debbie Harry - Rush Rush/Beth Andersen - Dance, Dance, Dance (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis, VS4 42745). Sleeve is graded due to some wrinkling along the top edge and some wear at the middle of the bottom edge. Record is graded VG+ with some very light scratches.
10. Debbie Harry - French Kissin'/Rockbird (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Geffen, 7-28546). Sleeve is graded VG+, with a light crease in the upper-left and lower-right corners and light evidence of outer-ring "presence". Record is graded VG+ with a couple of light scratches and cleanable fingerprints.
11. Debbie Harry - Backfired/Military Rap (US, Record/Picture Sleeve, Chrysalis, CHS 2526). Sleeve is graded VG, primarily due to some inner-ring scuffing on the front/back side and evidence of outer-ring "presence". Record is graded VG with some light and one medium scratch and some cleanable blemishes.
The auction starting price is set to primarily cover postage and insurance. I believe in the free market system. My main interest is in getting these items into the hands of a serious collector. The law of supply and demand will take care of the rest.
